Chrissie Hynde's daughter has followed in her mother's activist footsteps by moving into a tree house to stop developers from destroying a U.K. nature spot.
Natalie Hynde, whose father is Ray Davies of The Kinks, insists her singer mother is "delighted" she has chosen to take up the cause to preserve Combe Haven Valley, in East Sussex, England, where officials want to build a new road.
The 29 year old took inspiration from The Pretenders star, a longtime campaigner for animal rights, but admits her rocker mother is concerned for her health as she camps out in freezing conditions.
She tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "She's my mother so of course she's anxious about my health and worried that I'm keeping warm enough.
"She's concerned about things like pneumonia because it is bitterly cold... She's been a great influence on me, and one of the reasons we are so opposed to this road is because of the impact it will have on the animals in the area."
