Rocker Chrissie Hynde's daughter has vowed to continue her protest against the U.K. government's plans to build a new road through a nature spot despite her recent arrest.

Natalie Hynde, whose father is The Kinks star Ray Davies, was taken into custody last week (29Jan13) after chaining herself to a tree in a bid to prevent developers from destroying Combe Haven Valley, in Hastings, England.

She is facing charges of aggravated trespassing and obstructing a High Court official, but insists she intends to continue campaigning against the construction of the $150 million (£98.3 million) bypass, which is set to run straight through the beauty spot.

Hynde tells Britain's The Independent, "What they've done in Hastings is only the beginning. This is only the start of their plans to flatten the British countryside, and we will be there every step of the way."

The 29 year old insists her famous name is a bonus for the protest, adding, "If I can use who I am to bring attention to our cause then that's great."

Hynde is due in court to face the charges on 12 February (13).
