Parr passed away on Monday, age 92, according to People.com. She began her career in local radio and TV news in Wisconsin before moving to New York, where she become a weather girl on the Jim Jensen Show before being a full-time news reporter for CBS during the 1960s.

In 1978, she landed her own talk show, The Jeanne Parr Show, and in later life, she produced documentaries and released the book The Superwives, about the wives of athletes.

She is survived by the Law & Order and Sex and the City star and his brothers Charles and Michael. Their father, and Parr's husband, Charles Noth, died in a car accident in the 1960s.
