Chris Brown says he wants to sell one-million copies of his new album this week.
Chris Brown, the American R&B singer and former boyfriend of Rihanna, says he is looking to sell a million copies of his new album 'F.A.M.E' in its first week of sales.Speaking during an interview on the US radio station 'Hot 97', Brown admitted that his ambitions were 'pushing it' but claimed that the sales figure was achievable, saying, "I would love to do like a mill the first week, honestly. And that's really pushing, and I know that's pushing, but I'm happy with anything I sell". The 21-year-old, who recently completed a program of domestic violence counselling following his assault on Rihanna, added, "If I sell 100,000 like last time, I'm cool. My last Graffiti album was only 100,000, but it was a lot more added to it back then". The highly-anticipated new album went on sale in the UK today (21st March 2011) and is due to hit shelves in the U.S tomorrow. Brown's last album was released only a few months after he was found guilty of felony assault.
Chris Brown recently denied allegations that he leaked a naked picture of himself in order to gain publicity for the new album. He told MTV News, "I didn't want to put no pictures out. That's not my intention. .It was disappointing to me that it was out, because I was like, 'Man, now it's gonna look like a gimmick behind it. And I don't want a gimmick behind anything that I'm doing".
