Chris Brown was ''humbled'' by his prison stay.

The 'Yeah 3x' singer has revealed he will quit drinking following his release from a Los Angeles jail yesterday(02.06.14).

The 25-year-old served 108 days for violating a probation order related to his assault on his ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009 and is keen to get his life back on track following the experience.

A source told ''Jail was one of those things that humbled Chris and really just made him understand, point blank, that the world doesn't revolve around him.''

Chris - who was recently prescribed medication to treat his bi-polar disorder - has promised his managers he will stay away from the booze after being thrown out of court-ordered rehab in March and sent back to jail.

The source explained: ''He's going to be taking his prescribed medication daily and do his best not to smoke or even drink.

''After being in jail, he's proven to himself that he can in fact live without abusing those substances and wants to continue that type of sober living. He can do it. And he will because he knows it's good for him.''

Chris - who violated his probation by getting into a fight in Washington D.C last year - had his original sentence of 365 days in custody cut down by Judge James R. Brandlin who credited him for the 234 days he had already spent in rehab and jail.
