Hip-hop newcomer Chris Brown has ended Kanye West's 10-week run at the top of the US singles chart after spending four consecutive weeks at number two.

Brown's RUN IT! eventually hit the top spot today (17NOV05), displacing West's hit GOLD DIGGER.

Even though West's long run at number one is over, there are plenty more number one marathons being held on other singles charts in America.

Shakira's LA TORTURA duet with Alejandro Sanz has claimed the number one spot on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart for a staggering 24th week, while MATCHBOX 20 frontman ROB THOMAS' LONELY NO MORE solo hit tops the Adult Contemporary Airplay Chart for a 15th week.

Meanwhile, back on the main chart, DESTINY'S CHILD star Kelly Rowland has been given a boost just two days after her last scheduled performance as a member of the R+B trio - her collaboration with Trina, HERE WE GO, is the Billboard chart's greatest gainer this week, rising to number 19.

Lindsay Lohan's CONFESSIONS OF A BROKEN HEART (DAUGHTER TO FATHER) is the new chart's top debut at number 66.
