Actor Chord Overstreet "couldn't be more excited" to be returning to Glee - just months after he quit the hit U.S. show.
Overstreet shot to fame playing hunky high school student Sam Evans on the popular programme but left the series earlier this year (11) to pursue a career in music.
He was rumoured to be reprising his role during Glee's current third season, and now show creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed the reports.
Murphy tells EW.com, "We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back. So here's an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks - Sam is coming back..."
Overstreet adds, "I had the best time on Glee and couldn't be more excited to be returning."
