The former Girls Aloud star is said to have met with a number of experts in the fashion industry as she prepares to team up with a big name brand to create her own range.

"Cheryl has been approached a lot over the years to work on a clothing range but it's never quite worked out," a source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper.

"A few years ago she released a range of shoes through an online store but this time around she'll finally put her name to a series of outfits that will no doubt fly off the shelves. She wants to do it properly and has been chatting to lots of people."

Editors of the publication report she has even met with Philip Green, the businessman behind popular U.K. chain Topshop.

"Sir Philip Green... met up with Cheryl to talk about various possibilities," the insider adds. "Sir Philip gave Cheryl loads of invaluable advice and she was thrilled to have met him."
