Cheryl Cole would love to cut her long hair but doesn't think she would suit it, and regards her long locks as a comfort blanket to hide behind.
Cheryl Cole's hair is a "comfort blanket".
The 'Parachute' hitmaker would love to cut her trademark long locks, but doesn't think she has the confidence to carry off a short boyish crop.
Asked if she would consider cutting her hair, she said: "No, no , no. I want to and I think that it must be amazing to just wash, spray and go. But I wouldn't suit it.
"You have to have an unbelievable face to carry it off and confidence in abundance.
"I just love long hair. It's a comfort blanket. With short hair you can't hide behind anything."
Cheryl is one of the faces of L'Oreal and she admits she was overwhelmed and gripped with nerve when she was first approached by the beauty brand to front their campaigns.
She said: "Every time I see an advert I have to pinch myself. I've always loved L'Oreal, I always used their products but when the original offer came through it was a bit like, 'Me? Really?!'
"I was really nervous and intimidated as it's such a prestigious thing. I think it was a bit odd for everybody to hear it in a Geordie accent at first, but hopefully now they're used to it."
