The comedienne/presenter is preparing for the launch of her four-part Netflix series Chelsea Does..., in which she examines four high-profile social issues in depth.

The most controversial episode looks set to be Chelsea Does Drugs, which features the funnywoman mixing amphetamine-based stimulant Adderall with alcohol and also travelling to Peru to sample the notorious hallucinogenic ayahuasca.

However, she is adamant the show takes a responsible, no-holds-barred approach to the issue of drugs instead of relying on second-hand accounts.

Chelsea tells Britain's Sunday Times Style magazine, "I've had a fun time with drugs in my life, but it's not about that. This is to show what's abuse and what's not abuse, and to be mindful of it. It definitely doesn't glamorise drug use."

In reference to consuming Adderall and booze, she adds, "It's not pretty, it's not flattering. I'm vulnerable in all these films. And I was hungrier on Adderall than I normally am, so everybody who says you can take that to lose weight obviously has a different constitution."
