After foundations laid with solo debut 'Grey Will Fade', former Ash member Charlotte Hatherley returns with a new EP, new direction, new label and a startling new album.
BEHAVE is the first release from Charlotte's 2nd solo album 'The Deep Blue' and is released on ultra limited 7" and four track digital download to coincide with the launch of Charlotte's new website and her own Little Sister label, on December 17th 2006.
The EP showcases the range of the forthcoming album. 'Behave' and 'MR. ED' are full of trademark spiky energy and dramatic time changes. The ethereal, dreamy, almost psychedelic slant on 'Cousteau' takes Charlotte into exciting new territory. Luke Smith of Clor infamy produces the punchy 'MR.ED', which will only be available on this EP, and turns in a storming remix of 'Behave' to complete the package - a version already rocking many a dancefloor.
Charlotte's new label Little Sister Records, set up with her manager Ann Marie Shields, is born out of the belief that there is a much greater potential for excellence when artists remain at the centre of their own careers. "With her own label," says Ann Marie, "Charlotte has full creative control and has been able to surround herself with a fantastic team of people who can help her realise her creative vision in her music, video, artwork and live performance." Charlotte is equally enthusiastic: "Little Sister can choose what labels and distributors we work with around the world to release our records". This way, together they ensure the greatest possible international commitment.
