Charlize Theron is hoping a little of Kevin Costner's TV mini-series luck rubs off on her as she shops around a modern-day movie take on the Hatfields & Mccoys story.
Costner's historical epic about the feuding post-Civil War families broke cable TV records when it aired over three nights in America earlier this week (beg28May12) - and now Theron is hoping to bring the story up to date via her production company Denver & Delilah.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Theron and producers Dawn Olmstead and Beau Flynn are taking their Hatfields & MCCoys project back to ABC executives after they passed on screenwriter John Glenn's script for the project last year (11).
Wednesday night's (30May12) conclusion of Costner's TV drama shattered the ratings record of Monday's (28May12) debut when 14.3 million viewers tuned in to watch.
