A spokesman for TBS has denied rumors, first reported by Radar Online, that spread online Monday that Charlie Sheen was close to signing a deal with Lionsgate to star in a new sitcom that would be carried by the Time Warner-owned cable network. The Hollywood Reporter quoted a TBS spokesperson as saying, "TBS is not in discussions for a possible project with Charlie Sheen." Meanwhile, the gossip site TMZ is reporting that in order to put an end to rumors that Sheen might be returning to Two and a Half Men , the writers intend to kill off Sheen's character in next season's first episode. "Although the first show won't be filmed until August 5, producers have been kicking around scenarios, which include Charlie driving a car over a cliff," the website reported.
