Celine Dion has had to cancel a planned stage collaboration with her musician brother, after he forgot to apply for a work permit in America.

Fellow Canadian JACQUES DION and his group CHAMELEON were due to join Celine onstage at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada, but were turned away from the American border after officials spotted their guitars.

Celine says, "I find what happened to be very sad. They were just coming in to share their music, which is very generous."

But customs official CHERISE MILLS says, "Celine knows better. When she first started playing in the United States, she had to obtain permission to perform."
