Audience members attending the taping of the Fashion Rocks concert in New York City on Thursday night (07SEPT06) were left so furious with the badly produced event, many left before it finished. The all-star extravaganza was taped at Radio City Music Hall and broadcast on Friday night (08SEPTO6) on US network CBS as a slick two-hour concert, but fans attending the event claim the evening was anything but flawless. The first incident came when Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill finished a romantic duet and MCGraw suddenly slipped and hit the ground face-first, provoking concerned gasps from the crowd. The country legend then silently limped off the stage with audience members wondering whether or not he had been seriously injured. Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland and The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo added to the atmosphere when they presented an award. She fumbled her lines, blurting out, "Oops, I just f**ked up!" On the second take, Weiland stopped suddenly and muttered, "Sorry, we're going to have to do it again." When De Matteo messed up the take for a third time, the impatient crowd began to boo them. Actress Eva Mendes and FRANCISCO COSTA didn't help matters when they also required two takes for a prize-giving. The show ran an hour over schedule, with endless gaps between acts, which including SIR Elton John, Beyonce, Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, JAY-Z, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx and Rihanna. Many members of the irate audience walked out after a series of delays, with one fan telling PageSix.com, "It was exasperating. It went on and on. There was nothing spontaneous."
