CBS's long-running NCIS crossed the 20-million-viewer mark to 20.87 million Tuesday night as it posted its biggest audience of the season. With a 13.0 rating and a 20 share among total households and a 3.5/10 among adults 18-49, it was easily the top-rated show of the night and will likely end up as the top-rated show of the week. Its companion drama, NCIS: Los Angeles, also performed strongly with 17.79 million total viewers. CBS remained on top on Wednesday night, too as the second hour (10:00 p.m.) of The People's Choice Awards drew 9.25 million viewers to place first in the hour. Facing strong competition in the first hour (9:00 p.m.) from ABC's Modern Family with 12 million viewers and NBC's Law & Order SVU with 8.3 million viewers, the awards show Nevertheless managed to draw 10 million viewers, placing a solid second.
