The NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat, heated up the ratings for ABC, helping to give the network a rare win for last week. Game 4 was the highest rated among total viewers, with 11.4 million tuning in; Game 5 was the highest rated among the key 18-49 age group. NBC talent contests The Voice and America's Got Talent took the next three positions on the Nielsen list, with the Monday and Tuesday editions of The Voice sandwiching AGT. Repeats of CBS stalwarts NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS: Los Angeles, and CSI rounded out the top ten in that order. Among the nightly news shows, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams again remained in first place with an average of 8.1 million viewers (the show was preempted on three nights because of the Stanley Cup Finals and the U.S. Open), while ABC placed second with 6.8 million (it was preempted by the NBA finals on two nights) and CBS came in third with 5.8 million viewers. For the week, ABC led with a 4.7 rating and an 8 share. NBC placed second with a 3.9/7. CBS fell to third place with a 3.4/6, while Fox trailed with a 3.0/4.
