Cattle & Cane release their first single of 2013 'I Will Rise' on June 24th. Released by Toasty Records through Tri-Tone/PIASUK the single was recorded in the heart of Wales by a band made up of four siblings, and explores the strength of the human spirit.
After being selected by the BBC to perform at Scotland's legendary T in The Park, the band have released two EPs - Sold My Soul and Cattle & Cane - to critical acclaim. The buzz continues to grow after sold-out shows, features from iTunes and BBC 6Music. Last year frontman and song writer Joe Hammill was awarded the prodigious Alan Hull song - writing award for the North East.
They've seen their music synchronised on TV and adverts worldwide, ranging from the television adaptation of Catfish on MTV USA to the leading TV novella in Brazil. They also have a number of UK TV syncs under their belt, plus adverts and online promos within North America.
2012 started brightly for the band with performances in Beijing to celebrate the Chinese New Year in front of thousands of spectators followed by a run of dates across the UK.
'I Will Rise' - Produced by Lance Thomas (Ladytron, Simian), Mixed by Tristan Ivemy (Frank Turner, The Holloways and The Heartbreaks). The B-Side to the single 'Red' is available as a free download now at www.cattleandcane.co.uk.
