British celebrity magazine HELLO! are to appeal Catherine Zeta-Jones and MICHAEL DOUGLAS' High Court victory over their 'sneaked' wedding photographs.

Following a lengthy court battle, in April (03) MR JUSTICE LINDSAY ruled that Hello!'s use of unauthorised photographs taken secretly at the celebrity couple's November 2000 wedding was in breach of commercial confidentiality.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas had already struck a $1.8 million (GBP1 million) exclusive deal with rival magazine OK! to cover their nuptials.

However, Mr Lindsay has now ruled that Hello! can appeal the verdict, which saw them pay $25,200 (GBP14,000) to the Hollywood couple and $1,859,681 (GBP1,033,156) to OK!.

Hello!'s solicitor CHRISTOPHER HUTCHINGS says, "The appeal will consider whether a story, which has been obtained on an exclusive basis by one media organisation, should remain confidential after the publication by that organisation of the story."

The appeal is expected to take place later this year (04).
