Movie fans expecting to see Cate Blanchett in new film HOT FUZZ are in for a surprise - director Edgar Wright made certain the superstar's face was kept offscreen. Blanchett and filmmaker Peter Jackson both make cameo appearances in the British cop movie spoof. But Wright kept Blanchett's identity hidden, despite her celebrity. Wright says, "The joke is you don't see her, and it is a very emotive scene. It's the idea of doing a sentimental, mawkish scene and not seeing the face of an actress. "Later, the idea was, 'Why don't we get somebody really heavyweight to play that part? And it will annoy the studio.'"
