Singer Carrie Underwood is set to perform a tribute to The Beatles at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday (22Sep13).

The Before He Cheats hitmaker will take to the stage at the end of the show to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's first U.S. appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on 9 February, 1964, and she'll pay homage to the music that was popular at the time of U.S. President John F. Kennedy's assassination on 22 November, 1963.

Underwood will join Elton John, who was recently announced as a first-time Emmy performer. He will pay tribute to Liberace at the ceremony.
