Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler performed a duet at last night's Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (3rd April 2011), reports CBS News.
The former American Idol winner stunned fans in Las Vegas by taking to the stage with the Aerosmith frontman to perform her hit single 'Undo It', before merging into Tyler's hit song 'Walk This Way'. Underwood performed with a scarf wrapped around her microphone, in homage to the American rocker. Speaking later to the Press Association, Nettles said, "She is a wonderful performer. Obviously, country music is hip and it's cool and it's fresh, and I think her being here tonight is even more testimony to that". James Taylor joined the Zac Brown Band on stage to perform the group's hits 'Colder Weather' and 'Sweet Baby James'.
Despite her previous success at the Acm Awards, Carrie Underwood was beaten to the evening's top honours by fellow singer songwriter Miranda Lambert, who scooped four awards including 'Top Female Vocalist'. Lady Antebellum picked up two awards and Blake Shelton was also amongst the winners.
