Actress-turned-author Carrie Fisher is set to reveal all about her life, loves and Star Wars in a new one-woman play. The former Mrs Paul Simon, who played PRINCESS LEIA in the original Star Wars trilogy, will debut the candid show, WISHFUL DRINKING, in Los Angeles in October (06). In a statement released yesterday (08JUN06), a promoter writes, "Like her own life, with no intermission... Ms Fisher finally comes clean about star relations, Star Wars and other celestial bodies." The show will focus on Fisher's "unusual childhood (as) the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, the rise to movie icon as Princess Leia, her marriage to Paul Simon... to drug addiction, bipolar disorder, motherhood, having a child with a man who forgot to tell her he was gay."
