Carnie Wilson has undergone "lap-band surgery" on her stomach, some twelve years after she famously lost 150lbs after having a gastric bypass. The singer went under the knife on January 18, 2012 and had a silicone band placed around the stomach to create a pouch "the size of a golf ball" - she had lost 30lbs and counting.
Speaking to People magazine, Carnie explained, "It was the right decision for me and I'm doing really well so far. It's all about taking good care of myself". The singer, who is reuniting with Wilson Phillips to promote their new album Dedicated and their television reality show Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On, has struggled to lose the post-pregnancy pounds in recent years. Carnie has two daughters with her husband Rob Bonfiglio, Lola, 6 and Luciana, 2. She said, "Having children derailed me a bit.I'm just frustrated with these pounds".
