Carey Mulligan has the Olsen twins to thank for helping her land a role in The Great Gatsby - the design duo dressed the actress for her audition.
Mulligan flew into a panic after learning she was up for the role of Daisy Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann's new movie version of the classic novel, putting her in competition with high-profile actresses including Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively.
She turned to Ashley Olsen and her twin sister Mary-Kate for style advice and was stunned when the former child stars loaned her vintage treasures from their closets.
Mulligan tells Vogue magazine, "I couldn't believe what they did when I texted in a panic about having nothing to wear for my audition for Gatsby.
"I was hoping they'd send me some things from (their label) The Row, but then these huge boxes arrived - Ashley's entire collection of thirties vintage dresses."
