Candy Spelling is desperately trying to understand why her estranged daughter Tori Spelling is ignoring her pleas to reconcile - insisting she has no idea why the actress has decided to sever all family ties.
Mother and daughter have struggled to mend their rocky relationship for years, but briefly reconciled in 2007 after the birth of Tori's son Liam with second husband Dean MCDermott.
But Candy - who has not met her daughter' second child, 10 month old Stella - admits she's baffled as to why her daughter has cut off contact, but recalls her daughter's 2004 marriage to Charlie Shanian as a turning point in their relationship.
Candy says, "She stopped talking to all of us shortly after she married her first husband. She stopped talking to my husband (late TV mogul Aaron Spelling). She stopped talking to myself. We've talked (but) she never really has said why she was angry."
The 63 year old made a public plea on her website to reunite the family earlier this month (Apr09), but she has yet to hear from Tori - and admits she's unsure how to reach out to her daughter in private.
She adds, "Evidently she just moved and I did not know where she lived. Since then, I was contacted by two real estate people who have given me her address. Should I just show up at her house? She won't answer my calls, she won't answer my emails, she won't answer my texts.
"I'm a mother, I've made mistakes with my children and I feel bad about that. We all have good and bad times when we're raising children. But I have to tell you I would love Tori to come and talk to me. I know she's angry and I don't know about what and I know she'd feel better if she'd talk about it."
