A Tv commercial promoting Calvin Harris' latest album 18 Months has been banned in Britain after bosses at an advertising watchdog branded it misleading.
The promo, which featured clips of songs from the 2012 record, prompted a complaint from a viewer who alleged the version of Let's Go on the advert was not the same as the track available on the album.
Officials at Britain's Advertising Standards Authority (Asa) investigated the claim and have announced that they agree with the complainant.
A statement from the Asa reads, "We considered that consumers would expect the ad to represent the same version of the songs that appeared on the advertised album. Because we considered that the ad and album did not feature the same version of the song Let's Go, we concluded that the ad was likely to mislead. The ad must not be broadcast again in its current form."
