The Touch the Sky hitmaker, who is married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian, rarely appears on the family's show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

However, he was filmed meeting Jenner, who transformed from male to female earlier this year (15), to praise her bravery in coming out as transgender in the premiere episode of her new reality TV series, which aired in the U.S. on Sunday.

In the footage, West and Kardashian arrive at Jenner's house to meet the former sports star's mother and sister Pam, and West says to Jenner, "I think it's one of the strongest things that have happened in our existence as human beings, that are so controlled by perception cos you couldn't have been up against more. Your daughter's a supermodel, you're a celebrity, you have every type of thing, and it was still like, 'F**k it everybody, this is who I am.'"

In an interview, Jenner adds, "Kanye and I have never been really close, but I love his open-mindedness and how he's helped Kim come to grips with what's going on."

Jenner starred on Keeping Up With the Kardashians when he was married to Kardashian's mother Kris. They separated in 2013.
