Songwriter Burt Bacharach is releasing an explicit version of his controversial song WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?. The song slams US President George W Bush and his administration and features Elvis Costello wailing an expletive at the end. Bacharach has already won Grammy honours for his highly political album AT THIS TIME, which contains a tamer version of Who Are These People?. The music legend explains, "'When I told Elvis, 'We're going to have to change it,' he was very upset because it's such a powerful moment. "You've never heard that word like Elvis does it." Bacharach decided to release the full version because "things have gotten worse, with more lies. I felt I had to say something."
