Welsh rockers Bullet For My Valentine have been forced to cancel a string of concerts after frontman MATT TUCK underwent emergency surgery. The singer was due to have his tonsils removed next month (Jul07), but the operation was brought forward to a June date. Tuck has been ordered to refrain from singing for at least four weeks, forcing the band to pull five gigs in Spain, Germany, Austria and the U.K. A statement from the group reads, "It is with huge regret that Bullet For My Valentine announce that they will no longer be able to play." Writing from his bedside, Tuck explains, "If I'd known my tonsils were going to cause me to miss shows like these I'd have f**king ripped them out myself long ago. "I am totally gutted at not being able to play these shows and the only consolation the boys and I can take from it is that we are now fully focused on the album and we'll be back in the studio as soon as the doctors say I can sing again. I truly can't wait for you f**kers to hear it!"
