Bruce Springsteen has stepped behind the camera to direct the promo for his track Hunter Of Invisible Game.

In the 10-minute short film, the Boss plays a post-apocalyptic survivor who wanders the Earth alone, plagued by memories of the past. The footage is accompanied by haunting orchestral music, before the track begins halfway through.

Springsteen directed and produced the bleak movie with filmmaker Thom Zimny, who has worked with the Dancing in the Dark hitmaker on a number of projects, including the High Hopes documentary which was released in April (14).

In a post on his official website, the singer writes, "For a long part of the year, Thom Zimny and I have been talking about shooting a short film for Hunter Of Invisible Game. We've finally got the job done, and we think it's one of our best. Thanks Thom for the hard work and brotherly collaboration. You and your crew bring it all. And to all of you out there in E St. Nation (fan club), we hope you enjoy!"
