Rising British band Brother have been forced to change their name after the threat of legal action from an Australian group with the same moniker.
The rockers have gained a cult following in the U.K. and have been tipped as the next big thing overseas, but they've been forced to re-brand themselves Viva Brother.
Representatives for long-running Aussie trio Brother, who are based in the U.S., reportedly threatened legal action if the British group refused to change its name.
In a statement, singer Lee Newell says, "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away three men decided one day that it would be a good idea to start a band called Brother. Many, many years later four frighteningly handsome devils in (Britain)... decided to do the same thing.
"But something called 'litigation' got in the way. However with this out of the way we do finally feel free. Brother is dead. Long Live VIVA Brother!"
