Brooklyn Decker has spoken about her attempt to break into the film industry.
BROOKLYN DECKER, the American swimsuit model, has discussed breaking into the film industry, reports the Hollywood Reporter.Decker, who makes her feature-film debut in the comedy flick 'Just Go With It' starring Jennifer Aniston, says she is hopeful that more parts will come her way, saying, "I think people are like, 'OK, we saw her coming out of the water, now who is she? Can she carry on a conversation? You never know". The 23-year-old, who is married to the tennis star Andy Roddick, recently completed filming the 2012 movie 'Battleship' and says she no longer regards herself as being solely a model, adding, "Look, I may never work again once Just Go With It comes out. But I don't see myself doing catalogue shoots in Madrid anymore like I was doing two years ago. I hope that the acting side of things grows". Famous names who have successfully made the transition from modelling to Hollywood include Cameron Diaz, Rene Russo and Milla Jovovich, and Decker says her established name is helping to land parts, saying, "I'm not going to sit here and say, 'Pity me; I came from modelling. It's opened a lot of doors. People will take meetings because they've heard the name before. That's an advantage that I have. But at the same time, I will have to work really hard to show that I'm worthy of being in these films".
Decker has been included in a list of models that will feature in the much-anticipated 'Sports Illustrated' 2011 swimsuit edition.
