A representative for Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller is confident the troubled reality TV star will escape punishment following a recent drug possession arrest in Colorado, insisting the "facts of the case" will clear her name.
Mueller, who is mum to Sheen's twin sons, was taken into custody in Aspen on Friday (02Dec11) on suspicion of third degree assault and cocaine possession following a scuffle at a nightclub.
The 34 year old, who has previously spent time in rehab for addiction issues, was released from Pitkin County Jail on Saturday (03Dec11) after posting an $11,000 (£6,875) bond and she headed home to Los Angeles on Monday (06Dec11).
She is due to return to the winter holiday resort for a court hearing on 19 December (11), but her spokesperson is adamant Mueller is innocent.
The rep tells Tmz.com Mueller's lawyer Yale Galanter is in Aspen and "will vigorously defend Brooke with the goal of having all charges dropped once the facts of the case come to light".
And the publicist has silenced rumours suggesting Mueller's legal problems will impact her shared child custody deal with Sheen.
The rep adds, "Contrary to reports in the media, there will be no changes in the custody arrangement; the children are remaining with Brooke. Both Charlie and Brooke's mother have offered to support Brooke in any way they can."
