Britt Ekland has revealed she is no longer interested in sex, and says plastic surgery destroyed her looks.
The former Bond girl opened up to British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, and candidly confessed to not being interested in having an intimate relationship for two decades.
The 73-year-old, who has been linked to numerous famous celebrities, said she would rather sleep with her pet dog Tequila than another man. "I haven’t been interested in sex for about 20 years. I am not looking for anyone and I don’t want to be in a relationship," she shared.
"I sleep in king-sized bed exclusively in my homes in Sweden and L.A., so that my Tequila has enough room. I don’t want to wake up with a man in the bed, passing wind and snoring and with bad breath and all the rest of it, in his dirty underwear. No thank you!"
She also used the interview to insist that women of her age are not sexually attractive, and criticised Joan Collins for trying to maintain her status as a sex symbol. "Somehow she feels the need to be sexy at 83. I love Joan, but this is an image, an illusion. Just like her wigs, it is not reality," Britt quipped.
"I’m not like her. I don’t try to portray myself as sexy. If you call me 'sexy Britt', I will puke. I am going to be 74 years old, how can I be sexy?"
The actress and model found fame in the 1970s after appearing in The Man With The Golden Gun opposite Roger Moore, and also starred in the horror movie The Wicker Man.
Despite her previous status as a sex symbol, Britt underwent several plastic surgery procedures to maintain her youthful looks in her 50s, but told the newspaper she regrets them after they "destroyed" her beauty. "It ruined my face," she admitted. "It was the biggest mistake of my life. When I look at photographs of myself before I had it done, I looked very good. I can see that now, but I couldn’t see it at the time."
However, she praised other women in Hollywood who have reportedly gone under the knife. "I’m not totally against plastic surgery. If it is done right, it can be amazing, uplifting. Sharon Stone, Christie Brinkley, Jane Fonda? All beyond unbelievable," she said.
