Many years since their break-up, it seems that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake could be getting back together.
But the reunion, if it happens, will be more of a professional than romantic liaison.
Sought-after producer Timbaland has expressed his concern for Britney, who is currently in rehab after her split from husband Kevin Federline and a very public break-down.
He told Entertainment Weekly that her suffering "really bothers" him. "I feel her pain," he said. "I'm the type of person who tries to save the world. I just want to take her away, go overseas, and work it out."
But his comeback plan for her would be a collaboration with Timberlake, whose chart-topping current status is a million miles away from her music career right now.
"I asked Justin, 'How would you feel about me working with Britney?' I had to ask him that. I said, 'Would you do it with me?'" Timbaland said.
Apparently Timberlake is willing to be involved but only if his ex is serious about it.
Timbaland added: "I just want to hold her hand. I want her to be in my camp, to be around Justin. I need Justin to talk to her. Help her, please!
Britney checked into the Promises rehab clinic in Malibu at the end of last month for what is rumoured to be a near 40-day stint. Prior to that she shaved off her hair, was seen swapping clothes with a stripper and hitting Federline's car with an umbrella.
