Britney Spears warmed up for her big stage comeback at the weekend by wowing family members and close friends with a private preview of her upcoming CIRCUS tour.
The Toxic hitmaker kicks off her highly-anticipated tour - The Circus Starring: Britney Spears - in New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday (03Mar09) night.
The live gigs mark the first worldwide production for the singer since 2004's The Onyx Hotel Tour - and critics have questioned if she's ready for a real comeback following a series of public meltdowns over the past year.
But Spears' confidence was given a boost after the 30 loved ones she invited to the exclusive show on Saturday (28Feb09) gave her the nod, cheering her on through performances of Womanizer, Circus, I'm A Slave 4 U and Toxic, according to the New York Daily News.
Spears' two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, her sister Jamie-Lynn who brought along eight-month-old daughter Maddie, and their divorced parents, Lynn and Jamie, were reportedly on hand for the show.
An insider says, Britney was really tense up until the show but she got such positive feedback that shes a lot more confident about her performance. Jamie and Lynn dont get along at all, but they behaved. Theyre really rooting for Britney and wanted to make the evening all about her.
