Pop beauty Britney Spears' brief flirtation with the Kabbalah appears to have come to an end after the singer's mother LYNNE expressed her disapproval.
The TOXIC singer began talking about the mystical aspect of Judaism last year (03) after she collaborated with devoted Kabbalah follower Madonna on her single ME AGAINST THE MUSIC.
Spears has been spotted wearing the red string bracelet - a signature amongst Kabbalah devotees - and has a tattoo written in Hebrew on the back on her neck, which unfortunately was mis-spelled and meant gibberish.
Despite Spears' public expression of the Kabbalah, she had been photographed attending Christian church services with her Baptist mother.
In recent weeks, the troubled singer hasn't been wearing the string, which featured in her controversial video for EVERYTIME.
A source tells American gossip site THE SCOOP, "She has been spending a lot of time with her mother, and from what I hear her mother doesn't approve, so that might have something to do with it."24/06/2004 00:06
