A judge has ruled Britney Spears will remain under the conservatorship of her father until at least January (10).
Recent reports claimed the Toxic superstar was set to undergo a psychiatric evaluation in a bid to determine whether she is fit to regain control of her affairs, but a Los Angeles judge has decided to extend her father Jamie's role as conservator of her fortune.
He was put in control of her estate after her 2008 meltdown, when she was hospitalised on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
Jamie Spears will keep receiving $16,000 (£10,000)-a-month payment for his duties, and is expected to stay in charge of his daughter's dealings for at least another six months, according to TMZ.com.
However, a court hearing set for 14 January (10) will re-evaluate the possibility of Spears regaining control of her estate once again.
