Britney Spears has warned fans against buying tickets to afterparties purporting to feature appearances by the singing superstar during her upcoming tour - because they're bogus.
The Toxic hitmaker kicks off her highly-anticipated tour - The Circus Starring: Britney Spears - in New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday (03Mar09) night.
The roadshow will see Spears take in a slew of North American cities over the next two months - and party promoters have been quick to advertise aftershow events to cash in on the production.
But Spears has reached out to fans via her official website, insisting all except one appearance - in Montreal, Canada on 20 March (09) - are fake.
A statement posted on the site reads, "Despite many rumours and advertisements, as of now, Britney Spears will not be appearing at any afterparties in any markets other then (sic) Montreal.
