Adnan Ghalib, the ex-boyfriend of singer Britney Spears, has been charged with three felonies, including assault with a deadly weapon.
The paparazzo, who was again banned from contacting the Toxic star last month, is said to have used his Mercedes car to strike down a process server who was attempting to deliver a temporary restraining order earlier this month.
The victim was believed to have been attempting to serve Ghalib with legal papers on behalf of Britney's legal team on February 11th when the 36-year-old photographer drove his vehicle towards the process server.
To avoid being pinned against a refuse truck, the victim jumped onto the hood of the car, breaking his wrist and suffering cuts and bruises after falling off when Ghalib drove away without stopping
Ghalib was charged with three felonies on Tuesday; assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and battery, each of which can result in a seven-year prison sentence if convicted.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest and prosecutors have asked that bail be set at $110,000 (£75,511).
