Britney Spears' attempts to resurrect her life in rehab are not going as smoothly as might be hoped, according to one American magazine.
The Toxic singer, who entered a clinic in Malibu, California, after struggling to cope following the breakdown of her marriage, is reportedly not taking to her new environs.
Star claims the multi-million selling artist has alienated some of her fellow patients in rehab, with one telling the US publication she had "a seriously bad attitude problem".
"She's been very demanding, acts like a 12-year-old and throws temper tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants," the source claimed.
"She's asking for this and that, special food, special everything and she's not that nice to anyone."
Britney's career has stalled in recent years, with her split from husband Kevin Federline and the subsequent public spats over the custody of their two children putting the singer under strain.
Last month, watched by disbelieving photographers, the 25-year-old shaved her hair off, before entering rehab soon after.
There has been a silver lining to the singer's troubles, however, with Britney reportedly striking up a friendship with another musician seeking treatment.
Jason Filyaw, lead guitarist with rock band Riva and a participant in the clinic's Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, is said to becoming increasingly close to Britney.
