Britney Spears' promotional tour of Britain is leaving a considerable dent in her record company's coffers - her hotel bill alone for the five day stay is a staggering $160,000 (GBP100,000).

The 21-year-old singer, who is in the British capital promoting her new single ME AGAINST THE MUSIC and the upcoming release of her album IN THE ZONE, has insisted her label JIVE move her entire crew of bodyguards, make-up artists, personal trainers and backing singers into the luxury MANDARIN ORIENTAL hotel where she is staying.

But it seems Britney's bosses are hoping to recoup some of the cash during the pop princess' performances in Britain - local reporters are reportedly facing fines of up to $5,300 (GBP3,300) every time persistent fans manage to get through security measures and reach her private dressing room phone.
