Pop princess Britney Spears will embark on a 25-date North American tour next Spring (04), to support her new album IN THE ZONE.

The sexy singer will start in San Diego, California in March (04) and end in New York City in the middle of April (04).

After debuting at number one in the US charts after its first week of release (ends23NOV03), In The Zone has now sold 860,000 copies in two weeks in the States - but sales are still struggling in comparison to singer's last LP BRITNEY, which shifted 1.3 copies in its first week alone.

Earlier this year (03), Britney said she expected a different response to her new material, because of her image change from teen pop star to adult artist.

She said, "Of course, I'm not doing . . . BABY ONE MORE TIME and those big, massive hits anymore. I think this record is where I'm at right now in my life. It's sensual, it's sexual. I'm probably writing about sex subconsciously because I don't have that right now."
