Nicole Scherzinger has spoken to E! News to reveal she has no hard feelings towards Britney Spears. It's looking increasingly likely that Britney will be taking her place on this year's X Factor and Scherzinger spoke to E! Online at the Elle Women in Music party at the Avalon Hollywood.
"Britney is so bubbly and warm and everyone loves her anyway, so she just has to be herself," said Scherzinger, echoing Simon Cowell's praise for the 'Toxic' singer. "I think that it's something that we can't deny, but there's something about Britney that we...are always rooting for her and behind her no matter what." It's been reported that Spears has been offered a salary of around $15 million for appearing on the show. If true, it would mean that the newcomer to the world of talent show judging would be earning more than Jennifer Lopez did for last year's appearance on American Idol. Once Britney confirms her position on the show, Cowell will be on the hunt for another judge. Following poor ratings last year, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were both dismissed from the show, so there's another seat yet to be filled. The role of the host also needs a new candidate as Welshman Steve Jones was also shown the door after the last series.
Meanwhile, in the UK Cowell has had to admit defeat to Bbc's rival talent show The Voice, which won the ratings war over Britain's Got Talent. Bgt will be moving to a later time slot, to avoid any overlap between the shows.
