Britney Spears' son Jayden James has recovered after being hospitalised due to an allergic reaction.
The two-year-old was admitted to a Mississippi clinic on Sunday after reportedly suffering a reaction to something he ate.
A statement posted on Britney's official website Britneyspears.com on Monday afternoon confirmed the child had been admitted to hospital at the weekend, adding: "Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested."
The statement added that Jayden James was expected to be released on Tuesday but celebrity website TMZ.com has already carried a picture of Britney leaving the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre with her son.
And according to People magazine, the toddler is now "doing fine".
A source said to be close to the family told the magazine that Jayden James had suffered "a terrible allergic reaction. He had hives, was itchy and irritable".
Britney and her mother Lynne spent the night at the hospital after Jayden James' allergic reaction.
The hospital visit occurred while Britney was visiting her home state of Louisiana.
It was the first time she had been allowed to leave California with her sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James since her ex-husband Kevin Federline was awarded full custody of the boys in July.
