Britney Spears gave fans an exclusive surprise last night when she performed a run-through of her comeback album in Las Vegas on Friday (25th March).

Britney Spears is set to return to the charts this week with new album 'Femme Fatale', and 1,000 fans were in attendance at an exclusive live performance in Las Vegas' Rain Nightclub. Britney was performing as part of filming for an MTV special for the album. The show will air on 29th March to coincide with the album's release date.

Dressed in a black leather corset, the platinum selling singer ran through several new tracks, including new single 'Til' the World Ends.' This is not the first time Spears has performed an unannounced set at Rain, having done a similar 'secret' set at the nightclub back in 2003, USA today reports.

Critics are calling 'Femme Fatale' a return to form, with Rolling Stone calling it 'her best album yet.' It also features collaborations with high-profile producers such as Dr Luke and WILL.I.AM. Her last album, 'Circus,' put Spears into the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest female artist to have 5 albums debut at number 1.
