Britney Spears may be on the verge of a pop comeback, despite being on the verge of a mental breakdown in recent months.
The 25-year-old pop star has finally "taken control" of her issues, according to GREASE IS THE WORD judge BRIAN FRIEDMAN, who admitted the TOXIC singer has been making good choices of late.
Friedman, who was with Britney last week as she recorded new tracks for her latest album, told the Mirror newspaper: "Every decision she's made in the past month has been positive.
"I'm not just talking about going to rehab. More than that. Her life is going in a very positive direction."
Britney had engaged in month-long benders after splitting from husband KEVIN FEDERLINE last year, spending night after night out in LA clubs, often knickerless. But after she shaved her head in a last cry for help, she was admitted to a rehab clinic and has since calmed herself down.
And Friedman claims shaving her head was the best thing she could have done. He said: "It takes a lot of courage for a woman to go without hair and people who have done it, I feel, are great role models."
He added that Britney's new music and image could feature her shaved look, although it is all "top secret" at the moment.
