Britney Spears performed a gig at a San Diego venue last night, her first stage appearance since leaving rehab.
The star performed at the House of Blues under the pseudonym the M&M's and tickets for the gig were selling for far more than the original ticket price.
It has been reported that the singer would cancel the dates, which include another two shows, but the 25-year-old pop star performed for just under 15 minutes.
Before exiting the stage along with her group of dancers, Spears said: "Thanks everyone for coming."
The singer was sporting a brown wig covering her head which she shaved in front of photographers in February.
One fan who managed to make it into the venue told Los Angeles TV station KNBC: "I think she worked the stage, her body looked great. So it was good to see her finally come back and prove us all wrong."
The Toxic star is reportedly currently working on new material after her tumultuous start to the year which saw her split from her husband Kevin Federline, have a spell in rehab and then shave her hair off.
Spears hasn't released an album since her greatest hits compilation in 2004 during which time she has taken a break from The Music business and had two children.
