Pop princess Britney Spears has reportedly lost $150,000 (GBP100,000) after the collapse of an American finance company.

The sexy singer - worth an estimated $150 million (GBP100 million) - was among equity security holders named at a bankruptcy hearing for New York-based LANCER PARTNERS.

The company 's collapse is thought to have cost investors a staggering $750 million (GBP500 million).

Lancer Partners - run by BOB COWEN - were behind a planned $60 million (GBP40 million) remake of seventies music movie hit GREASE. Britney was due to take the lead in the movie before the project was scrapped.
